Episode 20 - Life, death, and everything in-between – exploring the physical, psychological, and spiritual world of Permaculture with Ian Trew from Noosa Forest Retreat

Introduction to the episode.

In this episode we chat with the incredible permaculture teacher, psychologist, Ayurveda expert, and barefoot yogi Ian Trew, exploring the physical, emotional, and spiritual world that is permaculture.

Our Mahasoma teacher, Laura Poole, completed her permaculture PDC course with Ian at Noosa Forest Retreat and fell in love with the way he spoke about ecology and nature, weaving in psychology, the Vedic worldview, indigenous wisdom, and personal development. It was an inspiring and very intense few weeks training, and we knew we had to share the inspiration with everyone.

Laura asked Ian if in this episode we could chat about the differences between permaculture, organic, biodynamic, agroforestry and syntropic farming, to get a real map of the territory. What ended up flowing between them became so much more than definitions, and this is one of the reasons we asked Ian to share with us… because it is his lectures that really touch the heart, make you laugh, reveal the truth, and ignite a fire within to become powerful co-creators, with our hands in the earth, contributing to meaningful change in our world. Check out the resources in the show notes to learn more about permaculture with Noosa Forest Retreat and tap into their next PDC course.
