Mahasoma Scholarship Program.
We understand that in life, everyone has challenges they must face, and when these challenges compound, life can become really hard, overwhelming and uninspiring. Yet, with the right tools, techniques and support, these challenges can be the catalyst that help us grow, evolve and understand life more.
This is what Vedic meditation is all about. It’s a practice that gives you access to your inner freedom, so you can navigate life’s challenges with greater adaptability, enthusiasm and resilience. You come to feel less constricted and bound by what is happening in your life, and have the strength, energy and compassion to step into the life you want to live.
Vedic meditation can make an immeasurable difference in one’s life, and yet investing in yourself in challenging times can often be lowest on the list of priorities. When money is tight, you are experiencing personal difficulties, or you are living within a system that disempowers you from the get go, learning to meditate may be what you need but you may not have the capacity to access. This is why we have set up the Mahasoma Scholarship Program - to acknowledge that financial or personal difficulties should be no barrier to learning Vedic meditation.
Who is the scholarship for?
We are offering scholarships to those who are experiencing financial hardship and would otherwise not be able to learn to meditate. Learning Vedic meditation is an investment you make into your mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing, and it’s one that gives back infinitely. We ask for a $108 exchange to contribute towards the teacher’s travel and teaching costs. If this is not feasible we also have 100% scholarship spots that are supported by our Gift it Forward program.
We have one scholarship spot available per course. This option is for me (or us if supported by partner, parents, family etc.) if:
I frequently stress about meeting my basic needs (e.g. food, housing, transport) and don’t always achieve them
I have debt and it prohibits me from meeting my basic needs
I rent lower-end properties or have unstable housing
I do not have a car and/or have limited access to a car but I am not always able to afford petrol
I am unemployed or underemployed
I qualify for government assistance including food stamps & healthcare
I have no access to financial savings
I have no expendable income (e.g. to buy coffee or eat out, new clothes, concert tickets, massages etc.)
I can’t buy new items because I am unable to afford them
I cannot afford a vacation or have the ability to take time off without financial burden
Please note: As Vedic mediation is always taught in-person, this scholarship offering is intended for those located in areas where we teach.
